New Years Resolutions & Opportunities for Improvement

So…?!? How are the ‘ol resolutions holding up? I’m sticking to all of mine (the list is very long) but have yet to have a 100% successful day. All that really means is that I picked good ones. Hard ones. If I was perfect on day 8, then what would be the point? I still haven’t made it to the gym, but I got really close today. I went to the gym and picked up the new class schedule.

Great news! The instructor that I love love love and that helped me change my life last time is teaching classes again! So at least I have one thing, once per week, that involves sweating and that I’m actually excited about. I’m also stepping outside my comfort zone and trying Kundalini Yoga on Sunday with a friend. I hear there’s quite a bit of chanting, and chanting really isn't my thing. But this is a year about changing, pushing myself and being the best me that I can be. Who am I to say that Kundalini Yoga isn’t the answer? I’ll never know if I don’t try.

If you want to learn more about Kundalini Yoga, click here. I will also report back after class on Sunday.

I still need to drink more water. Somehow I keep forgetting to charge my fitness device, so I’m not even tracking steps. Then there’s the Artists Way program that I started - I’ve done many of my morning pages, but the weekdays have been rough. I just don’t want to wake up when it’s cold and dark (hahahah I don’t like to get up at all. I heart my snuggly bed).

So much opportunity for improvement! #letsdothis

PS - I also realized that both of the phrases I’ve been using (New Year, New Me & Back on Track) are super overplayed. So I’m brainstorming new motivating catch phrases. Ideas? Send ‘em my way: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
